Blackhawks send Gustav Forsling to Rockford

Scott Powers scooped the Blackhawks by noticing that Swedish defenseman Gustav Forsling had been mentioned in the AHL transaction notices as being sent to Rockford. Shortly after, the Blackhawks made the official announcement.

This move comes after Quenneville announced earlier today that Artem Anisimov would be inserted back into the lineup Monday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. This development also meant that the Blackhawks would be forced to clear a spot on the roster, which resulted in Forsling (one of the few waiver exempt players) being sent down.

This move leaves the Blackhawks with Duncan Keith, Jordan Oesterle, Brent Seabrook, Connor Murphy, Erik Gustafsson, Jan Rutta, and Michal Kempny available on defense.
