The Chicago Blackhawks announced the signing of Lucas Wallmark. The Swedish center signed a one-year ($950,000 Salary Cap hit) contract.

Wallmark has appeared in 160 NHL games over five seasons with 32 goals and 22 assists. Last season, he was traded from the Carolina Hurricanes to the Florida Panthers along with several others in the Erik Haula trade.
For the past two seasons, Wallmark spent the majority of his time as the Hurricanes fourth-line center. He fills a need at the faceoff dot for the Blackhawks as Wallmark’s career face-off win percentage is 50.9%.
