The Chicago Blackhawks completed another signing Wednesday morning, announcing a two-year, one-way contract extension for forward MacKenzie Entwistle featuring a cap hit of $800,000 annually. The deal will keep Entwistle with the Blackhawks through the end of the 2023–24 season, as he has one year remaining on his current entry-level contract.

Entwistle skated in five games for the Blackhawks last season, tallying one goal and one assist. The 22-year-old also appeared in 22 contests for the Rockford IceHogs, posting totals of four goals and eight assists.
A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Entwistle is expected to compete for a depth role in Chicago this season, but may again find himself on the outside looking in as an occasional call-up from Rockford.
