The Blackhawks announced this morning that they had extended goalie, and potential restricted free agent, Collin Delia for three years. The contract is a one-way deal, will begin this coming season, and runs through the 2021-22 season.
The terms of the deal are as follows:
Delia breakdown is 750K/750k/1.1M, with a $400K signing bonus in year I

Delia burst onto the scene last spring after leading a surging Rockford Icehogs team to an exciting Western Conference AHL playoff run. He came into camp this summer as one of the highs rated Blackhawks fitness test participants and made the race for backup job behind Cam Ward very difficult for the Blackhawks staff. Once Corey Crawford went down with another concussion, Delia was called up from Rockford and never went back. He has displayed composure beyond his years and looks like a potential legitimate future netminder for the Blackhawks.
The California native and Merrimack College alum has taken an unconventional path to the NHL through Indianapolis and Rockford, but has risen through the ranks to become the Blackhawks top goaltending prospect.
