The Chicago Blackhawks have agreed to a terms on two-year contract extension with forward Landon Slaggert. The deal is a one-way contract for $900,000 per year. Slaggert appeared in 16 games with the Blackhawks last season with one goal and three assists.
Before joining the Blackhawks, Slaggert had played in 136 games with the University of Notre Dame. In his senior season, he set career highs in goals with 20 goals and 11 assists. Overall, Slaggert recorded 47 goals and 54 assists and led the Irish to two NCAA appearance in 2021 and 2022. The former third-round pick was in the last year of entry-level contract before signing the extension.
Slaggert is currently with the Rockford IceHogs and has appeared in their lone game this season.
