The Chicago Blackhawks announced the restricted free agent signing of forward Dominik Kubalik and re-signing of goaltender Malcolm Subban.

Winger Dominik Kubalik has signed a two-year deal contract extension that runs through the 2021-22 season ($3.7 million AAV). After the expiration of the deal, Kubalik will remain a restricted free agent with the Blackhawks.
In his first season with the Blackhawks, Kubalik record 30 goals and 16 assists. He also earned third place in the Calder Cup Trophy awards. His 30 goals were first among NHL rookies and the second on the Blackhawks behind Patrick Kane. He also earned the Rookie of the Month award in January of 2020 with 10 goals and 14 assists.
In addition to re-signing Kubalik, the Blackhawks also re-signed goaltender Malcolm Subban to a two-year deal worth $850,000 against the salary cap after not tendering a qualifying offer to him. Subban had an .890 save percentage and 3.17 GAA in 21 games last season with the Vegas Golden Knights and Chicago Blackhawks.
