Trade Analysis:

Ryan Hartman and a pick to Nashville for two picks and a prospect

Jeff – Getting a second 1st round pick is usually pretty good.  This pick will be a late round pick because the Predators will go deep in the playoffs, but this draft should be deep.  The player they get in return (Victor Ejdsell) is a huge Swedish center.  Looks like a younger faster Artem Anisimov.

Tommy Wingels to Boston for a 5th Round pick

Jeff – This is free money, because he is an unrestricted free agent on July 1st. Wingels will come back in the off season, if the Blackhawks want him back. Smart move, for one more pick next summer. The pick is conditional, and becomes a 4th round pick if Wingels either re-signs with Boston or the Bruins win a series in the playoffs.
