- On Thursday afternoon, the Rockford IceHogs came to terms with forward William Pelletier to a one-year contract extension through the 2018-19 season.
IceHogs, Pelletier Agree To Extension
This season marks the first full pro season for Pelletier with the IceHogs. Prior to making his debut last spring with Rockford, he played four years at NCAA Division 3 Norwich University. In 83 games with Norwich University, Pelletier tallied up 126 points, was named the NCAA Division 3 ECAC Conference Player of the Year in the 2014-15 season, and helped Norwich University to the NCAA Division 3 National Championship in 2016-17.
Last Spring, Pelletier made his AHL debut with the IceHogs and racked up seven points in the final eight games of the season. In his first full season in the AHL, he has skated in 45 games and has notched 17 points (7G, 10A) with Rockford. Over his last ten games, Pelletier has nine points including his first career professional hat-trick against the Ontario Reign on January 10.
The IceHogs return from the AHL All-Star break tomorrow evening when they host the Manitoba Moose at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Puck drop is set for 7pm Central Time.
