The presses are still hot on a deal today—with the Blackhawks sending Michal Kempny to the Capitals for the higher of Washington’s third round picks in this year’s NHL entry draft.
No surprises there, as had been reported by me on Twitter more than once, Kempny has been in play going back to December.
A quick update on other activities.
The Hawks have received interest on Brandon Saad and Artem Anisimov by one Eastern Conference team, and Saad and and Anisimov separately by two other Eastern Conference clubs All offers were turned down by the Hawks. Both players are staying put “for now.”
Two names getting a lot of play—who could be moved—are Ryan Hartman and Connor Murphy (as reported over the weekend). No teams mentioned.
A call was also made to Arizona on Max Domi—the price is too high for Chicago.
Stay tuned.
