I suppose, if Brandon Manning and Jan Rutta can be traded, then so can the Gus Twins.

If this doesnt signal TANK TANK TANK then I dont know what does. Or they have no fucking idea what they are doing. Probably both.

Gus sucks at actual defense but he is very good in the offensive zone. Dude has been great on the PP. He isnt a bust. He is just a 3rd pairing guy who can QB a PP. And thats fine. He isnt expensive. And he isnt the reason they are losing. Yes, he sucks at defense at times. But what else do they have? Keith sucks on the PP. Seabrook s…Read more

Doesnt matter who is next to him right now. -5 is -5. He just isnt shutting anything down. Hasnt for a long time. As Keith goes, so go the Hawks, and that is to the extreme now. It is time to face facts. He just isnt very good any more.

So…that happened.
When do pitchers and catchers report?
Duncan Keith fucking blows. Time to stop believing he is a top 4 defenseman any more. 2 and 7 are done. And only 28 and 5 show any defensive aptitude. 56 can at least score, even if he cant keep the puck out of his own zone, that is at least valuable (see Erik karlsson). Im sort o…Read more

Davidson was “fine”, but what he looked like was an average pro defenseman. He did take one really hard shot. But he wasnt really good or bad. Which is sort of what they needed. On the goal that Ward gave up, he didnt really screen Ward, went for the block and Ward just let it go thru him, probably wanted that one back, but it wasnt Davi…Read more

The Sikura hate baffles me. There are so many other more important things to hate on. Like Forsling. Forsling directly led to two goals against last night. That should have been a 2-0 win. Delia was very good. But Forsling is a damn turnover machine and he is lost in his own end. He needs a couple of seasons in RFD to prove he is an NHL…Read more

Forsling needs to be sent to RFD. His play led to both goals, first bad defense and turnover, then a bad penalty. Should have been a 2-0 win for the good guys. Ugh.

Alan Parsons replied to the topic RECAP: Blackhawks Drop Winter Classic 4-2 To Boston in the forum Chicago Blackhawks 6 years, 3 months ago
Forsling has that deer in the headlights look about him. Like he knows he is about to get his ass handed to him on every shift. He isnt confident. If he can figure out how to make that first forechecker miss and make the pass/move out of the zone without the TO then sure. But he looks like a much bigger project than Jokiharju at this po…Read more

And as bad a defender as Gus has been, he has been noticeably ok with Keith as his partner. If Keith can hold the line, and let Gus cowboy up, they can live with his deficiencies as long as he is potting goals and making good on the PP.
When Jokiharju gets back, Forsling needs to sit. But I dont think you can take Gus away from Keith at this…Read more

He is backchecking well, he is aggressive on the forecheck. He is creating chances, just not finishing yet. I think that will start to come soon. But he is responsible and he is working hard and he does look fast. I dont get all the hate. Plenty of things to hate on this team, but Sikura is at the bottom of that list. Forsling is at the to…Read more

It is hard to score when you only get 7 minutes a night.

And Sikura has the best possession numbers on the team by a mile. He hasnt been given much ice time so that is admittedly a small sample size, but it should be enough to garner him some more minutes at least. I dont get the Sikura hate, let him play and I think the points will come. Perlini has looked completely lost, but Sikura hasnt to me. …Read more

this team has sucked because they suck at defense, and they are getting better at defense! but forsling needs to go, asap, and then they can work on finding a new home for seabrook. but sikura isnt the problem. offense isnt the problem. they can score goals! But forsling…he really really sucks ass.

Going to completely disagree about Sikura. He has played a very good shutdown game, has kept the puck going in the offensive zone, has done a great job defensively and has created some chances for himself. I think he looks like he is going to be just fine. Im not arguing he is the next 50 goal scorer, but he is fast and has good instincts. Pu…Read more

Waive Forsling. Waive 42. Trade him. He is just not an NHL player.

Alan Parsons replied to the topic BREAKING: Blackhawks Acquire Caggiula, Garrison for Manning in the forum Chicago Blackhawks 6 years, 3 months ago
Stunning success. Getting anything for Manning is a great return, and Caggiula is a really good return. He may only be a 3-4th line guy, but Manning wasnt putting on a hawks sweater again, barring some sort of emergency injury situation. Well done.

Replace Forsling with anyone and the defense will improve dramatically. Anybody. There isnt another guy in RFD who can play better than Gus the Turnover Bus? Forsling the Turnover Titsling? Gustav McTurnover? Turnover Von Forsling? I can haz turnoverz?
Forsling really has developed into a not very good hockey player. Cut him loose.

Sikura is starting to grow on me. He has some very good defensive instincts and he can pick a pocket as well as anyone on the team. He is starting to look more and more comfortable. His points should start coming soon.
