Basically a salary dump.

Keith is still a very serviceable Dman, in the right system.  And if he plays fewer minutes.  Probably not likely to happen with the Oil.

Traded for a defenseman who couldn’t crack that great Olier defense. And for a third round pick–who will likely never play in the NHL.

By no means am I a Bowman fan, but overall I have to say Stan did well– to okay.

As John said, he gave up nothing and came up with a couple lottery tickets. Maybe the draft picks will turn out or the young talent will matriculation.

What this TDL tells me is–Bowman is stocking up on young centers. Which makes me think the captain won’t be coming back.

Crawford won two Cups.  He has to be at least in the conversation for the Hall of Fame.

Without a healthy Crawford, the current group of misfits playing goal reminds me of being a Hawk fan prior to 2008.

He was a 7th round pick three years ago.  Is he any more than Rockford depth?

The Blackhawks are further away from being a Cup contender than a top 3 goalie. They’re at minimum 2 years away. And then Toews and Kane will be 2 years older.

They lack team speed.  The opposition reduces them to a dump and chase team, and the Hawks don’t have the players to play dump and retrieve.
