Analysis
The Blackhawks were defeated by the Florida Panthers 6–3 this past Sunday, at the United Center. The loss snapped a three-game win streak for Chicago.
Dylan Strome, acquired in the Nick Schmaltz deal, recorded his second multi-point performance as a Blackhawk. On Sunday, Strome scored once and assisted on two other goals. The 21-year old center also won 67 percent of his draws (8-for-12).
Patrick Kane started the holiday break on a five-game point streak. During the current streak, the forward has netted 2 goals and 5 assists. Kane also has points in 10-of-11 games leading up to the break (4 goals, 10 assists).
The Wild enter tonight’s game on a four-game losing streak, last finding the win column two weeks ago against the Panthers 5–1.
Minnesota relies on a stingy defense and solid goaltending from Devan Dubnyk, expected in net tonight. Dubnyk has recorded a 1–4 record in his last five starts, however, in those starts has a .935 save percentage.
