According to reports from the beat writers travelling with the team, the Blackhawks were participating in their usual game day morning skate when backup goaltender Anton Forsberg left the ice hunched over with an undisclosed injury.
Anton Forsberg will not be in the lineup tonight. He was injured at morning skate. Collin Delia will fly in to be tonight’s backup goalie. #Blackhawks

Corey Crawford was able to handle the backup goalie duties for the morning skate, but still is not ready to be activated from injured reserve. As a result, Collin Delia was recalled from the AHL and will hop on a flight from Cleveland Ohio, where he was preparing to open the AHL season against the Cleveland Monsters, Friday.
Barring some kind of flight issues, he should be there in time to meet the Blackhawks in Ottawa for tonight’s season opening game.
To fill the spot left by Delia’s departure, the Rockford Icehogs will recall goaltender Matt Tomkins from the Indy Fuel to back up Kevin Lankinen.
Matt Tomkins to be recalled by the @goicehogs ahead of tomorrow’s @IndyFuel preseason game against the Fort Wayne Komets.
