Rockford IceHogs Announce Training Camp Roster

  

On Friday morning, the Rockford IceHogs announced their initial training camp roster ahead of the opening day of camp on Sunday. The roster includes nine players under AHL contracts with the IceHogs and 12 players on camp invites, including four from the ECHL Indy Fuel.

Opening training camp on Sunday, September 23, the Rockford IceHogs have 28 players attending camp on the initial roster with four goalies, eight defensemen, and 16 forwards. You can view the full opening roster below:

Rockford IceHogs Training Camp Roster 2018-19

A number of players will be making the switch from the Chicago Blackhawks training camp to the IceHogs camp, including Henrik Samuelsson, Terry Broadhurst, Matt Tomkins, Radovan Bondra, and Shaw Boomhower. Also joining the IceHogs came from the ECHL’s Indy Fuel are Kevin Dufor, Hason Pawloski, Robert Powers, and Mathew Thompson. Also making an appearance at IceHogs training camp will be Andrew DeBrincat, brother of Chicago Blackhawks forward Alex DeBrincat.

Also joining the IceHogs camp from the Chicago camp will be Lucas Carlsson, Blake Hillman, Kevin Lankinen, Jacob Nilsson, Nathan Noel, Darren Raddysh, Radovan Bondra, Terry Broadhurst, Matt Tomkins, Andrew Campbell, Dennis Gilbert, Matheson Iacopelli, Graham Knott, Anthony Louis, Jordan Schroeder, Tyler Sikura and Luc Snuggerud.

As both Rockford and Chicago camps open and continue through the next two weeks, more players are expected to make the IceHogs training camp roster as the Blackhawks make cuts.

The camp opens on Sunday, September 23 and is highlighted by the Rockford Fan Fest on Friday, September 28, which will showcase an inter-squad scrimmage. Rockford opens the regular season on the road against the Cleveland Monsters on Friday, October 5.
