First and foremost, a hearty gesture of Thanksgiving gratitude to all our readers and listeners—that special breed that’s come to be known as RinkRats.
MESSAGE BOARD STATUS
The question we’re asked most often is “why aren’t there message boards where we can respond to the articles and discuss hockey?”
And the way we answer most often is: they’re coming.
We recognize that a robust, healthy, and respectful message board community will be a huge part of The-Rink. And we want to do it the right way. Look for it around (or just after) the New Year. Besides, what else are you gonna have to do around then?
OPEN STAFF POSITIONS
We are still looking for knowledgeable, proficient writers to cover the following subjects:
- analytics
- major junior (CHL/USHL)
- European hockey
- salary cap and NHL economics
We are also in the process of adding message board moderators. If you’re looking to channel your inner badass, this could be the job for you.

THE-RINK.COM CLOTHING LINE FROM PUCKHCKY
This, also, is coming. We’ve worked out the details with our friends at PUCK, design is underway. We’ll have an update on Twitter on timing of actual availability soon.
We’ll start a big Saturday tomorrow AM with a Florida preview, as well as a game recap to end the day. Maybe some other stuff in between.
